August 6

Welcome to Week 2. What could be in your basket this week:

Cucumber
These low-calorie veggies contain many nutritional benefits and are very versatile.

Lettuce
Light and fresh. Perfect for your late summer salad.

Carrots
The carrots are looking great, they are tender and crisp. Store your carrots in a bag in the fridge.

Purple Beans
Everybody will get purple beans this week. Easy to see and easy to pick, the gorgeous beans turn green after cooking and taste deliciou.

Sunflower
The sunflowers are opening! We hope to get them picked for everyone’s basket. If it doesn’t happen this week, you’ll get it in your basket next week. Please don’t worry – we keep track of who gets what.

Peas/Snap Pea
Give (raw) peas a chance! Why not try these in a salad while they’re still fresh.

Also, be sure to check out our Farm Basket Recipes at Pinterest (https://www.pinterest.com/blacksheepmeado/). We have pinned delicious recipes for the wonderful produce found in your farm basket, including spicy cucumber margaritas, and also a guide on how long different produce will last.

The contents of the baskets may change through the week as we monitor the fields and harvest what is at its peak.

Drop off date:
Thursday, AUGUST 13, 4:30-5:15PM at the TMG back entrance.
